It is with a heavy heart that we announce the cancelation of this year’s Threat Management Conference. The conference was scheduled to take place August 11-14, 2020 at the Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, CA. However, the state’s restrictions on large gatherings due to COVID-19 safety guidelines currently remain in place. Given California’s current conditions, the need for conference preparation time, and time for attendees to make travel plans, ATAP and the Disneyland Resort determined it is in the best interest and safety of our attendees to cancel the conference now. This has been a difficult decision, but after much research and discussion, we believe it is best for the welfare of our members and attendees.
ATAP’s leadership appreciates that high-quality training is one of the primary benefits of membership. The ATAP Training Committee is currently researching options for bringing more online training to our members. We are excited to provide you more information on this initiative in the coming month.
Many of our members have told us the Threat Management Conference is one of their favorite professional events to attend. ATAP’s leadership feels the same way, we will miss seeing our ATAP Family this August. We look forward to being reunited with you all at ourWinter Conference, February 9-12, 2021, at the Swan and Dolphin Resort in Orlando, Florida.
Thank you for your understanding and be well,
Russell Palarea, Ph.D.
