underwent a profound shift on December 4, 2024, with Luigi Mangione's assassination of
UnitedHealthcare's CEO. Mangione aimed to and successfully ignited a movement against the health insurance
industry, sparking concern in multiple sectors and among CEOs
across unrelated industries that they could be next. This case and the following movement will be discussed.
