Successful Interview Strategies Connecting Through Empathy and Storytelling
Angela Nino, Certified Forensic Interviewer
This presentation will provide insight about the science of empathy and how to use storytelling to achieve authentic connection with an interviewee during potentially challenging discussions.
Angela Nino, CFI, Certified Forensic Interviewer conducts interviews and investigations as an independent consultant, and teaches seminars on workplace investigations and difficult conversations. She previously worked as a seminar instructor for Wicklander-Zulawski, the industry standard for Interview and Interrogation training programs.
Angela has spoken at numerous conferences including American Society for Industrial Security (ASIS) annual conference, National Retail Federation (NRF) Loss Prevention Conference, The HR Southwest Conference and Central Texas HR Association (CTHRMA), and presented training seminars for the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) and the United Stated Center for Immigration Services (USCIS). She is also a member of the International Association of Interviewers (IAI), Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) and currently enrolled in the Master’s program for Human Resource Development at Villanova University.
The networking and continental breakfast session will take place at 8:30 a.m., followed by the Chapter’s business meeting, which will begin promptly at 9:00 a.m. The presentation will immediately start at the conclusion of the business meetings. Members are welcome to invite guests and all attendees are reminded that pre-registration is required.
