Our next DC Chapter meeting will be at 11 AM on Thursday, November 16, 2017.
Dr. Stephanie Leite will present Improved Decision Making with Science. The way you process information results in a good decisions or bad ones. In threat management, where every decision has an active impact on the lives of others, there is no room for error. Through an engaging lens, Dr. Leite will show how easily we trick our own minds to see the conclusions we wish to see, rather than the ones we should be making. She will take the science of bias prevention and turn it into a fun and memorable presentation, including a public domain case example, and concluding with five simple steps to take to assess for bias. Attendees will learn how to minimize bias, which leads to better decisions and clearer judgment. This presentation is guaranteed to get people talking.
