Please join us for our meeting on JULY 20, 2017 at 11 a.m. at Robert Mehrabian Collaborative Innovation Center 4720 Fifth Avenue Pittsburgh, PA. There will be satellite meetings in Northern Virginia, North Carolina and the Tidewater, VA area. Detailed information for each meeting location can be located at the end of this message.
Randy Trzeciak, Director of CERT Insider Threat Center, will be presenting. Since 2001, the Insider Threat Center at CERT, has been researching insider threats, with a mission of developing mitigation strategies for insider threats to DoD, USG, Law Enforcement, Industry, and Academia. To date, the Center has collected and analyzed over 2000 insider incidents to develop potential risk indicators of malicious or non-malicious insider activity. In this presentation, we will discuss how insider incidents tend to evolve over time; highlight the similarities and differences between incident types (Fraud, Theft of IP, IT Sabotage, Data Leakage, Espionage, and Work Place Violence); and for each incident type, discuss potential risk indicators and best practices for the mitigation of insider threats.
Lunch will be served at each meeting location. Please respond to firstname.lastname@example.org or to the local sites. When responding to email@example.com, please list the location where you will attend the meeting.
