ATAP DC Chapter Meeting

Our next ATAP DC chapter meeting is Wednesday, July 22nd 10AM at Marymount University, in Arlington, VA.

Andrew Tappert (B.S., Information Technology, University of Miami; M.S., Computer Science, Stanford University) is a computer security researcher and software developer with Pikewerks Corporation (http://www.pikewerks.com/). His area of expertise is Linux system and network security. He is the project technical leader for Second Look ™, a Linux volatile memory forensics product.

The topic of his presentation will be computer security generally, and specifically how intruders hide and maintain a presence on systems to which they have gained unauthorized access. How can investigators detect the stealthiest of attacks? All necessary background will be provided so that the presentation is comprehensible even by a non-technologist.

Lunch will be served following the presentation. Please RSVP to atapdc@atapdc.com so that we will have an accurate count for lunch. If you need to cancel, please email atapdc@atapdc.com

All meetings take place from 10:00 am to Noon at Marymount University, Ballston Campus, 1000 N. Glebe Road, Arlington, VA. Lunch is served at Noon. Board meetings begin at 1:00 pm, and are open to all members.
